Little hem specializes in fine children's clothing and playthings made from good materials and simple designs that promote the creative child. The little hem collection is designed and handmade by Kri Hem, and constructed from only all natural materials - cotton and linens in summer, and cozy wool in winter. Hem is Kri's middle name and was her birth surname from Cambodia. The birth of her son in 2009, provided the inspiration to start the little hem clothing line.
Kri studied patternmaking and fashion illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she also worked for the children's fashion brands BabyGap/GapKids, and Gymboree. During her time in the bay area, she also volunteered as a mentor at First Exposures, working with youths and teaching photography.
